Khmara is a specialist, engineering-led South African software and systems integration business. We design, build and support integration-led platforms that help telecommunications, financial-services and public-sector organisations deliver complex digital services reliably, while keeping control of their systems and business logic.

Experience Behind Khmara

Khmara is shaped by around 25 years of technical, architecture and management experience, including about two decades in executive roles, combined with hands-on software engineering and solution delivery.

That leadership experience includes:

• Building a specialist software business from start-up through to acquisition
• Leading multidisciplinary delivery and support teams of close to 50 people
• Developing and supporting telecommunications and mobile-financial-services solutions for more than 20 operator and mobile-money customers across Africa and South America
• Architecting and supporting payment gateways that connect government and business programmes to banks and mobile-money providers
• Responsibility for technology strategy, product roadmaps, proposals, delivery, executive stakeholder management and support

It pairs engineering depth with commercial understanding, backed by postgraduate computer-engineering qualifications and an MBA with a finance focus.

This experience was built across previous businesses as well as Khmara. It describes leadership and career history, not the current size of the company.
